0.5 km down the estuary of the Peida River and about 0.8 km down the estuary of the Ramata River, in the Salaca River – close to its left bank.
In the forests of the Skaņkalne Parish, in the above the flood terrace in a rather underbrushy forest. Not far from the stone there are foundations of a building overgrown with the forest. On the opposite bank of the Salaca River there is a sauna house.
It is worth seeing, but there is a plenty of other stones of similar dimensions, finding of which is much easier. The object is located in the middle of a field and it is not difficult to notice.
About 5 km N from Embūte, on the slope of the Vēre Hill — hillfort, on its top part, in a bushy forest of deciduous trees. The nearest homestead Krišjāņi is about 600 m W from the hill and stone.
