An impressive stone that is well noticeable from the road, called also the Large Bauņi Stone. The natural hollows on its surface, hypothetically, had been used for cult activities, although there is no special evidence of that. The length is 5.3 m, width of 5.1 m, height of almost 1.2 m, circumference short 16 m. Currently the surroundings have been spruced up. Situated in the property of the JSC Latvia’s State Forests. On the stone candles are often seen, which proves some certain usage, possibly, also in modern rituals. Heritage of parish significance. Nearby is the Bauņi forest-park, Mīlīte manor house park, Matīši.
On the stone surface there are gently sloping bowl-shaped hollows that point at an ancient cult site. Around the stone there is a circle formed of smaller stones. (V.Avotiņš, I.Lukss.1999. From Burtnieki to the sea. (No Burtniekiem līdz jūrai.)
