Above bog level – around 2m high and 10 m3 large stone with steep sides. Located in a bog and is almost inaccessible. May be examined during the winter, when the bog is frozen.
First information about this secular stone – the Devil’s Stone was provided by the biologist Juris Smalinskis in the journal “Vides Vestis” No.11 from 1998. The name of if allows including the stone in one group with ancient sites.
Visit of the stone is an extreme adventure. Not recommended for tourists. The bog cannot be crossed, it is deep and there are water holes in the bog. Rather un-inhabited vicinity.
