Description
Rather significant tributary of the upper reaches of the River Iecava, and the name of the river (‘Holy River’) draws attention by the researchers. There are no cult sites on its banks that would be known. Maybe the river itself was deemed holy, but maybe it was a boundary river.

Attraction
Well seen from the Valle – Jaunjelgava road, where it crosses the road through a culvert. Otherwise the river flows through forest and marsh areas.

Well seen in a small area, but should one wish to see the whole river, this could turn into an extreme adventure.
