Narrative
The Bronze Age cairns were built to honor the dead, to keep the dead from haunting the living, and to mark the territory of the tribe. A whole set of rituals and cult based aspects were involved in the burial process. The forefathers could also be called upon at special occasions, for advice and other purposes.
