Grave field and settlement from the Iron Age. Two mounds, one stone setting and two house terraces
Narrative
The graves were placed around the house to keep the ancestors close for worshipping and advice. Strict rituals were included during the funeral to send the dead safely to the Kingdom of Death and the preventing the dead from haunting the living.
Attraction
A good example of remains of a smaller Iron Age farm with a grave field. Ancient rural landscape.
Availability
Just a 100 meters long walk from the road between Hudiksvall and Forsa.
