Ruddy large-grained granite stone. Dimensions: 1,6 x 1,8 x 0,7 m, circumference 5,0 m. The stone is partly uncovered, a trail passing by.
During a site visit in 2003 the biology teacher of the school approved the stone is called a Sacrificial Stone also nowadays. Still – no legends or stories are known about the stone. The surface of the stone is very even, it is in the form of a table, and a line around 10cm, probably left by a glacier, is seen. It is doubted, whether it is an ancient cult place, since no real evidence has been found.
2 m away from the stone there is the Leader’s Oak, which is planted around 1938. Girth of the oak reaches 1,66 m in summer 2011. Considering the tourism infrastructure in Tervete, the sacrificial stone is not being positioned as a sightseeing object and therefore is mostly unknown.
